Thanks to the @nycmarathon and the @themasters for my semiannual letdowns. They both help me keep track of the changing seasons. 😂 There are a lot of things I like not having to worry about as a bald guy. Finding a relationship with a good barber. Worrying about bad haircuts. Loading up on expensive hair product. Bad hair days. But then there's early season sunshine... If you're going to go to Costco on a Saturday in the winter, I recommend bringing the Jeep. 19 years! It still feels like we're two kids trying to figure life out together, but I love it that way. Happy Anniversary @mrs_stephens Time to start watching the Christmas classics! Twenty years ago today, I spent the day showing off my favorite city to my girlfriend and our friends Josh and Ashley. We finished the night on the observation deck of my favorite building -The Empire State Building- where I asked @mrs_stephens to marry me. Love this NYC Easter egg. Any film buffs know where this one is from? Tonight nearly 1,000 people from over twenty churches gathered in the auditorium one of our city colleges to worship together. God is doing something special on this Island and in this city. 🔥 I've moved so many times that it makes the "where are you from" question difficult. Home is more about people than place. Maybe that's why I'm drawn to passages in the Bible where God's people set up permanent markers to memorialize His powerful acts. Isaiah 55:13 says, "Evergreens will grow in place of thorn bushes, firs will grow in place of nettles; they will be a monument to the Lord, a permanent reminder that will remain." In that case, God sets up the permanent reminder for Israel. The land that was allowed to be destroyed, he will renew and make beautiful.
