Dear Friends,
In just a few months I will be traveling to Vietnam as part of a short term mission team composed of the senior LEAD MDiv class at Biblical Seminary. There will be 15 students on our team and one advisor, and we will be there from June 1 to June 12, 2010. Our goal will be to explore our leadership gifts for intercultural service, to gain insight into the global church and to open possibilities to connect with individuals across language, culture and class borders. We will be in Long Xuyên in South Vietnam engaging with students at a school that has invited us, and we will also be traveling to Cambodia to meet with believers there.
I am grateful to you for your friendship and partnership with me so far in my journey, and hope that you will consider further supporting me in this very specific way as I close my time at seminary. I am looking for partners who will pray both for my class and for me. Pray specifically that we will be shaped and molded by this trip, and that it will be a powerful opportunity to synthesize and put into practice all that we have learned in the past three years. In addition, I am also hoping that God may lead some of those on my prayer team to contribute financially to support our learning and work on the trip. The cost per person is $3,250.00, which includes plane tickets, train tickets, meals and housing. Any amount you can contribute to the total would be greatly appreciated.
We are asking that contributions (tax-deductible) be made out to “Franconia Conference” – with my name and “Biblical Seminary Mission Trip” in the memo field – and be sent by April 1st.
